Some
of this information is about local professionals who have
helped us and our
daughter Mary. This does not mean we say they are the only
choice, or that
you must use their services. There are many professional people
just like
them all across the U.S. We merely mention them here to help
you, in case
you do not have a resource or know where to turn.

Dr.
Sally Goldberg is a professor of early childhood
education at Nova Southwestern University.
We were lucky enough to meet her in person. She is so enthusiastic
about her work, and her books are great. She has exceptional
insight because her own daughter has DS.
We especially
like that they teach basics ideas, using household items,
that any parent can use to help give their child a head start
in the world. The books are expertly laid out, easy to follow,
and the learning projects are easy and inexpensive to implement
into everyday life. We highly recommend these books.
These
books are for ALL parents and children. They are not specific
to only children with any disability.
